October 2, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Our monthly Waterwatch monitoring is taking place in the Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve – Sunday 2nd October. A week later than normally scheduled.

It’s footy season, but that’s not the reason we are moving our Waterwatch a week forward to Sunday Oct 2.
We have an opportunity to be part of a MW trial in the use of an Audio Moth.  We can leave an Audio Moth (underwater) or above – to sit for 24 hours and record. Will give an interesting additional picture to our 9 minutes of sound grabs and aid MW testing new equipment..
Richard Akers, our coordinator from Melbourne Water will be coming down on the day to trial and show us the equipment MW are testing. Meet at the usual spot- St Kilda St entrance – near the Monash Bridge. 9.30am- 12pm. Richard has set up our soak portal

Please meet at 9.30am at the picnic tables next to Monash Bridge off St Kilda Street.

This is a regular group and all our results are shared through Melbourne Water’s citizen science portal. All are welcome to come and learn a little bit about the health of our local waterway.
