February 4, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The YWNA’s first working bee of the year will coincide with and celebrate World Wetland Day (WWD is February 2nd) and we will hold our first Working Bee on the 4th! The theme for 2023 is Wetlands Restoration and highlights the urgent need to prioritize wetland restoration. This fits neatly into the work that YWNA are doing and that you, as volunteers are actively contributing to restoring and creating wetland space!

Due to Summer conditions we are starting early at 9am- 12pm.

Come along and celebrate World Wetland Day and help grow the Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve!
If you’re keen to get your hands dirty, we’ll likely be doing some  planting, weeding and plant propagation. No experience necessary (feel free to BYO gloves).
Meet at the epa shed, near the Elwood Bowling Club on the Brighton Road/Glen Huntly Road corner of the reserve.
Please wear cool, long-sleeved  clothes, hat etc for the season and good protective shoes.
